Days 16 through 20:

In addition to the aforementioned antifungals, I take a probiotic supplement every morning and night. This morning I noticed blood in my stool. This is worrisome, as you can imagine.
As per a post on candidadiet.com:
"However, the problem was not new to me I had this (blood in stool) already 1-2x years ago from certain foods and went to the Hospital as I was worried. I was told that the importancy is to check if the blood in your stool is old or fresh. Fresh blood will obviously be brighter colourful and come from your intestine and is not -normally- (!) not dangerous. If the blood in your stool is old, i.e. more dark red then the bleeding occured not in your intestine but in your stomach and you need see a doctor asap. I would see a doctor in any case should the bleeding occur more than once in short period of time."
The blood I had passed was on the brighter side I think. Some questions:
(1)Have any of you ever experienced this before? Have you seen information on the forum about this? Am I in danger?
(2)For what length of time is it safe to take natural antifungals? Should I stop treatment?
Any insights or advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
Jhan, thanks so much for the reply.
Wondering how you knew the blood you had was definitely from hemorroids? And I will absolutely stop treatment for a little while.
Why no probiotics? Wouldn't probiotics only be helpful? I'm confused on this point, if you could elaborate why probiotics would not be a good idea in this situation that'd be great.
I don't do enemas whatsoever at this point. And I'm not constipated; haven't been for years. So I don't feel this was the case.
This is unfortunate because I had wanted to start Nystatin enemas, and was just about to. Now I'm afraid to do so. Would enemas for me be not recommended? Or do you feel I can proceed with no issue?
Interesting you've been rotating antifungals for years with no ill effects. Obviously I did not expect this sort of thing to happen, and antifungals seem like the primary culprit at this juncture. My bowel movement this morning was normal; no blood whatsoever. I wonder if this was an isolated incident. I don't want to discontinue antifungals, but obviously I have concerns. Maybe dosing down and close monitoring.
