Two pills? Seems like Doc is just placating you. Did the first albendazole help?
My first anthelmintic dose (fenbendazole) was a miracle that restored a lot of my vision overnight. That experience gave me confidence in my self-diagnosis. Since that dose in 2011 I've had to follow up with 250 more vet doses of ivermectin/praziquantel, fenbendazole, and pyrantel pamaote (sp?).
The reason I'm posting here is because I think I relate to your head pains. Is it different from a traditional headache, in that it feels like immense pressure from outside the brain? For me it was like my immune system wouldn't let the crap pass my blood brain barrier so the parasitic sludge parked just underneath my scalp dermis.
Anyways, it took no less than a hundred doses before that symptom finally left me. Recently, the dewormers ceased causing me severe and fleeting liver pains. Milk thistle and NAC may be working, but I suspect the real reason is because my
parasite numbers are way down. I'm starting to believe those who claim that the die-off (flukes and
Tapeworm carcasses?) is far worse on the liver than the actual medications.
