Hey fellow sufferers,

After several months battling this horrible disease, the dermatologist has planned an allergy patch test for me. Any of you have had success in finding the cure for the disease using this method? My course of action has been:

• Antifungal (Canesten) - made it worse, possible allergy
• Diprolene (corticoids) - using a gradual application ; 4 days in week 1 , 3 days in week 2 etc . Once a day.

Now I am trying the japanese, leave it alone method. It has been 5 days and lips are ultradry, they do not look very scaly only when in contact with water. I clean my lips with a mild face cleanser (ph 5.5) indicated for .sensitive skin. The posistive thing is that I dont experience any blood or severe cracking, which I think it is positive.

Tomorrow I gotta fly to Spain to give a conference and I am in shock to go with these lips, but thankfully it is winter so... I have an excuse.
