Okay. So, yesterday I got 200mg of Iodide
and had the worst headache ever.
Today, I decided to be risky and took 400mg of Iodide
and that totally went away. I feel absolutely amazing.
So, I just took another 600mg to make that 1,000mg (since this is how much Szent Gyorgi took) for the day and will report my results.
It seems as though I am experiencing what the literature says about iodide. At moderate levels, it create symptoms of "iodism." At high levels, the "iodism" disappears.
Which means it isn't iodism at all, it is detox.
EDIT: Oops. I miscalculated. Szent Gyorgi only took 750mg or so and took 1000mg of the total salt, so I took 250mg of Iodide
more than he did daily. We'll see what happens.
Here is a link to the MSDS sheet on potassium iodide.
According to this, the LD50 (the concentration most likely to kill 50% of those who ingest it in a single dose) is 3,000mg/kg of body weight for a rat.
So, you would probably have to take something on the order of 450 grams of iodide if you weigh 150kg before you have a 50% chance of death.
I'd say that's pretty affirmative of KI's safety!
