Questions from an iodine newbie, ple...

Hi guys, I've been doing Dr. Brownstein's Iodine protocol for coming up (in a few days) on a month. I'm seeing good results so far but I have newbie questions. I hope this is the right Iodine forum to ask these questions in:
1. How can one tell when they've gotten to the right Iodine dose for them as they're moving up? Does a person, at a certain daily dosage, feel really good so they stay there until one's body says otherwise?
2. When someone has been on iodine for a longer period of time (months/years) IF they decide to try to go to a lower amount of iodine, how do they know where to back off to?
Any tips for me as a newbie would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

This is a reply to # 2,455,005its all about the halogens in your environment. flourine in stain resistant this and that and water and toothpaste and powdered eggs and god knows there its hidden, like in teflon non-stick pans and stuff. then there is bromine which is in so many materials in our lives as a fire retardant. https://www.nationalgeographic.com/science/article/chemicals-within-us notice the date.
big cities and public trans and buildings are the worst. i have had my face go numb just walking into a lazy boy outlet due to flame retardants and stain treatments, etc. no idea how people do 8 hours a day in that. this was in austin and i was taking 700mg a day to keep all that at bay.
