Have any of you, candida sufferers, tried Betaine HCl?
A low stomach acidity makes the lower intestines too acid, restoring the acidity will make the lower intestines more alkaline like it is supposed to be.
I don't know what can exactly trigger low stomach acid, but from what I understood, that situation usually involves the presence of Helicobacter Pylori, and this lack of acidity let bad bacterias and
parasites pass the stomach barrier.
I've heard that when using Betaine HCl in the case of low stomach acidity, you will eventually need less and less of it and it can restores the normal secretion of HCl. Maybe one of the reasons is that your stomach get rids of the Pylori bastard.
A lot of websites seem to say that most people with auto-immune disorders have low stomach acidity. That could explain the dysbiosis (and candida) in many of these disorders. Maybe mercury is a trigger somewhere. Or maybe it is a cofactor, when combined with low stomach acidity (hypochlorhydria), makes candida become harmful, causing leaky gut syndrome, and many subsequent symptoms are the effect of peptides and harmful bacterias toxins (and bacterias themselves) getting in the blood.
