Hiya Kellie! :) Mmm... tilapia... mmmm.... :)
I'm not a big fan of high-protein diets, they make you lose weight because protein ramps up the body 10 times more than
Sugar does. So do this diet for only a month or less, after that you'll start gaining weight, guarranteed. Protein is a body builder and congestion increaser. Only eat enough to rebuild strength then go low-protein. Not all carbs are bad, only simple carbs. Veggies and whole grains are never bad, unless you're out of proportion.
Bread is always a waste of calories. Doesn't matter what diet you're on. Best way to get whole grains is to eat porridge. I always recommend Bob's Red Mill hot ceral mixes and Lundburgh's Brown Rice cereal, especially the almond. YUM! :) And the Kichadi recipe is a perfect mix of grain and legume, which is perfect, healthy, balancing protein. Basmati rice is great. Other fantastic grains are: Quinoa, millet, wild rice, barley, flax, and oats if you're not gluten intolerant.
Definitely take #2, but only take #1 if you get constipated. They're okay products, one or two cheap fillers but nothing that will hurt you.
Hope that helps! ;)
