I'm a skin care therapist and I'll help all I can. Please remember that I have not seen you I'm only going from what you've said.

If both or even one of your parents had Acne then it is safe to say that your condition is genetic.

If neither one of your parents had Acne then it could still be genetic, BUT it's more likely that you are looking at a systemic (from within) problem. Either way you should examine your life style and the foods you put into your body. Remember that dairy products are mucus forming and you surely do not need additional mucus.

Alot of Doctors and people in general believe Acne to be an over production of sebum (oil) when really acne is not a problem with your Sebacous glands it is how the follicle reacts to the build up of cells this process is call "Hyperkeratosis".

Now on to treatment:
Exfoliation is very important, remember the build up of cells? exfoliation will help with this build up. It's important that you do not over exfoliate either. once a month or more if your cells are regenerating faster. A good Aesthetician can help with that.

A healthy skin care regimen is very critical. Maintaning a ph of 4.5 to 5.5 keeps your acid mantel (protective covering) in tact. Thus fighting off bacteria ect.
*FYI- soap has a ph of around 8 or 9 so please stay away from soap.

It's important for your skin to be an enviroment where bacteria CAN NOT thrive.

Oxygen treatments are available at skin care clinics. I would suggest finding an Aesthetician in your area that offers these kinds of treatments. Bacteria can not live in oxygen. Thus killing bacteria, reducing inflamation and helping the healing process. Your skin care therapist will also prescribe a good line of skin care products for your specific skin condition.

Sometimes we need to challenge our skins especially if they are sensative. So you may have to go through a few months of treatments before you see improvement.

Whoaaa I'm still reeling from the Liver cleanse pictures. Those were the most terrifying pictures I have ever seen. I can't even believe that's most likely in my body. I swear I'm never eating a stitch of bad food ever ever ever again. I REALLY think the cleanses would benefit me but I don't have the oppurtunity to be down for a few days while doing them. I just don't have spare time. I will do them the first break I get. All the postings have me totally convinced that I need to do a liver cleaner. Will cranberry juice help clean me out at all? I thought I heard that somewhere.
SqueakyClean, you don't think the B5 will aggravate my stomach do you? I'm really trying to avoid that. Have you done a liver cleanse?
