Hi all. I am over 24 hours into my fast. Of course I am very hungry, but am taking things an hour at a time for now. I am very religous with the gym, and do a lot of weight training. I have worked very hard to build the muscles I have. I am afraid that during my cleanse, I will loss all that muscle. From the body builders stand point, you cannot miss meals or your body will start cannibilizing all its' muscle long before it dips into fat stores.
I do know I need to fast, since I have not been feeling well and I am back sliding in my training at the gym. My Psoriasis
is returning after being in remission for months, and I cannot seem to lose this last 20 pounds
of stubborn fat no matter what I do. My hair looks awful, my skin is breaking out, and anything I eat makes me feel nausiated and bloated. Even after going without food for more then 24 hours, I am still bloated... although I want to eat the formica off the counters right about now.
I do know I will lose weight, and I am alright with that. However, how much muscle loss will I have if I even make it a few days, and not the full 11 days? What will the ultimate sacrifice be in the long run?
