the one I've been making consists of:
1 ounce wormseed
1 ounce Wormwood
1 ounce male fern
1 ounce pomegranate bark (or if you can't find a place that sells it, since it's a bit hard to find, you can just buy a pomegranate, chop the whole thing up, and throw it in)
This amount is good for 1 litre of tincture...so if you're making only 500 ml, then you can use 1/2 the amount of each herb. Let it sit in a glass jar in a cupboard (out of the light) and stir it each day. It's ready in 2 weeks, or you can let it brew longer for a stronger mix.
I take Black-Walnut
tincture too, but that one I have on it's own...you could throw it into this batch as well though.
I like this formula for me, but others are good too. If you prefer just the Wormwood
and cloves, you could brew up your own with just those three. I'm not sure what the amount of herb/alcohol ratio would be...maybe the same, so something like 3 ounces
herb to one litre? You could even just make a tincture of Wormwood
since these are the more expensive ones, and take the cloves in capsules....oh, yeah, you can make your own clove capsules and it will cost practically nothing. Just get some good quality cloves at a bulk herb store, grind them up in a coffee grinder, and then fill up some capsules.
Let us know if you brew up something potent!
