I’ve been suffering from hypoglycemia, candida, asthma and allergies most of my life. I’ve been working on my health for about 10 years and although I had most chronic conditions “under control,” my health has not improved considerably. In the summer I learned about metabolic typing and after reading several books, I found the only practictioner in my area: a nutritionist who trained in the Dr. Krystal system and apprenticed with Dr. Young. After testing and live blood analysis, she put me on a group II diet and a supplement program 6 weeks ago. But I have been having a lot of problems with blood sugar, acid reflux and diarrhea – I’ve come down with a cold and have gained weight. Follow-up blood analysis showed my health was worse. She insists the typing is correct and from my own research and advice of other health practitioners, a low carb-high protein diet seems logical. Anyone have any ideas on what the problem is?
