You sound like a really nice gal so I'm going to level with you...ALL MEN SEE ATTRACTIVE WOMEN AS SEX OBJECTS. ALL GUYS! It's what we do. It's how we're hotwired. I acknowledge life's truths, I don't make the rules however. You can't expect us guys to look at a beauty like yourself and not think what we naturally think. Can't do that. You're asking us not to be guys. You should thank your lucky stars that you have sufficient beauty to attract our immediate attention, rather than loathing the thought of us complimenting you. Sad state of affairs when a honey can't just let life come to her and enjoy it for what it is. You've had some losers cross your path, granted, but we're not all losers. Plenty of "good guys" that would treat you like a queen. Only one thing...you've got to unload this miserable attitude. Physical beauty can only carry us for so long, then the ladie's personality must kick in and deliver the rest of the way. Don't carry baggage just for the sake of carrying baggage. Lose the bags and travel light! Being a "sex object" in and of itself is a natural and good thing. It opens doors. It allows you to be in the driver's seat, if you will, and determine who gets a chance at you. You have the luxury of selecting from a larger pool of suitors than most. How lucky can a girl be? You have been blessed, now start acting as such.

My first question is 'Where are you meeting these men?' If you're going out to bars or something similar, most of the guys you meet are just trolling for chicks. My suggestion to meet a good person, who is not attracted to you ONLY as a sex object is to go do something you enjoy and I think you will run in to someone nice. Do you like dogs? Do you have one? Places like PetSmart have classes you can take with your dog; who knows, you could meet another single "dad!" ha ha Maybe not that, but do you get what I mean?

As for the emotional baggage I think you really need to talk to a professional. Changing the way you dress, eat, and interact with other people could be a sign of depression. A warning, though! Don't let them talk to you for five minutes and then write a prescription for drugs. See a psychologist, who can't prescribe drugs. They are more willing to listen and offer natural therapies like breathing techniques and visualization exercises.

I'm sure you've heard this a thousand times, but really when you are comfortable with yourself, the right person will come along. I'd had some really bad experiences and had resigned myself to being single for the rest of my life. And when I got to the point where I was okay with my lot in life, I met a wonderful man, and we are now married. Focus now on how you feel about yourself, not how you think others feel about you. Hang in there!

Start reflecting back on your early childhood in a deep retrospective way.To the degree a daughters father is not her first male hero to that degree she will have difficulty coping with men later.No father is perfect okay but one of a fathers role is to define the sexuality of his children via role playing and interactions with his offspring.This is a rock solid axiom in child psychology.This is why therapists immediately want to know the family history.I am majoring in psychology and yes it is an off the wall buggie field.But the axiom about fathers imprint on their daughters is valid. Actually, a man just can't help himself. He may be trying to rationalize a solid relationship, but upon viewing a gorgeous creature, he gets so turned on, he loses it. He just can't help acting aggressive...it's built in. You could try to cover up more so he doesn't see all the equipment.

You need the support of loving women to regain your trust of men... Men are the rapists... how often do you hear of women raping or molesting? It does happen, but no where near the numbers that men rape and molest. I'm NOT saying all men are rapists obviously... just something to think about... why are men doing the majority of molesting and raping? I think it would be great if we all had to spend at least one night a month with those who have the exact opposite belief system as ours and wholeheartedly tried to listen with an open mind/heart with the emphasis always being on honoring different points of view as ALL legitimate ways to live... as long as the precondition was that everyone must honor difference as the most important aspect and refrain from trying to change one another to fit her or his own idea of what is "right" or "true." How boring would it be if we were all alike! Diversity is one of the greatest blessings... difference is what helps us grow. I dislike the idea that it's either one way or another... black or white... truth or fiction. I mean come on! Bend a little... imagine a little... turn your head a little to help change perspective... put yourself in someone else's experience. Inflexibility of the mind is my idea of hell. Some say, "I know for absolute sure that it is THIS way or it is sin." I hope I never become some. Idealistic? Yeah... but don't hate me for it.
