The only issue I'm really having at the moment is trying to figure out whether I'm holding the positions for long enough. I know that the idea isn't the same as yoga- these aren't designed to be held for long periods of time. I just don't know HOW long to hold them for though!
I'm on day 3 of 21 reps of each and doing surprisingly well. The 7X3 counting trick is really working to my advantage. I feel strong and stable, and I'm particularly noticing a new flexibility in my back that I hadn't felt before. (I'm seeming to lean back REALLY far in rite 3 with virtually no effort)
My sleeping is the same- quite erratic. I think this does have to do with energy being gained from these exercises, because I can't think of anything else I'm doing different.
I practise these in front of a mirror to keep check on my form, and I'm noticing that I'm looking stronger and healthier.
