Hi People,
i think i will post this in a couple of forums to get a few different responses!
I am off to gambia next week on a last minute holiday, and everything I read says that malaria is rife there, and I should take medication before and after going to prevent it. Plus, I have been told I need a vaccination against yellow fever and other diseases.
Should I have the vaccinations? I have read some awful stuff on them, but at the same time, whilst I see how vaccinations are not 'natural' the world we live in is not 'natural' anymore, many diseases are the result of the things we have done wrong, so I think maybe we DO need to be protected against them.
At the same time - I have been doing a strict cleansing process over the past two months, including liver cleanse and bowel cleanse. I have come of medication I have been on for years, and feel very reluctant to pump my body full of yet more medication.
Please please ca people give me their advice? I really dont know what to do, and I need to decide asap as I am going on Thursday.- Re: Should I get vaccinated before I... rudenski

This is a reply to # 62,212If you doget vacinated...don't get the multiple dose shots. The multiple shots may contain themerisol, which is mercury and toxic to your body. Make sure you ask for individual shots that are no taken from a bundle. Rudenski - I am reading as much as I can, and hoping to make a decision based on what my body/inner voice tells me. Its difficult though, when everyone around you thinks you are mad for even considering not getting vaccinated, or taking precautions against malaria.

I might take that malaria vaccine...jeez... They are mad because you are catching them in the act of committing a crime. Almost everyone who gets caught in the act will respond with anger. My daughter was poisoned by a vaccination at 4 months and began to have serious neurogogical and behavior problems. She is diagnosed with Austism. I will never let any of my babies get vaccinated until I know they are mercury free and even then I am going to be be seriously skeptical. you But I personally wouldn't take any vaccines that have themerisol... - Re: Should I get vaccinated before I... rudenski

Small Pox is an imaginary threat...Malaria is a real threat... I am not against vaccinations for real threats...
If I was going to Gambia, I would think long and hard about a vaccine.
Sorry if I am not in total agreement about this issue with my peers.

Had to bud in. There is no vaccination for malaria...just heavy duty meds that cause hallucinations. My brother has travelled to Africa several times without the meds...he and his wife decided they couldn't face the hallucinations. They took it for two days (before leaving) and decided to stop. I took their advice and didn't take it myself. There are lots of web sites devoted to the dangers of these drugs....including reports by returning soldiers who were forced to take it.

This is a reply to # 62,218One of our church members got bad hallucinations as well as being violently ill from the anit-malarial drugs and had to be flown home early from her assignment, then admitted directly to the hospital upon arrival. This is a woman with her doctorate in counseling, and she was having hallucinations of harming other people. Scary stuff.

This is a reply to # 62,212Hi, I am new here, hope it's ok to just jump in. I am from a familly who has remained unvaccinated for at least 6 generations on both my maternal grandparents side. This includes myself and my 12 year old son. It's just not even an issue for us as personally we are all very health consious and, (with me being the exception,) never seem to get sick for more than a day or two.
I'm not saying 'dont do it,' only you can decide. Maybe what you need to look at is. Are there any alternatives? (anything from Homeopathy to Colloidal Silver or Zappers, which I personally am a big beliver in?) Are the vaccines possibly worse than the diseases they are used to prevent? Will the vaccines prevent the disease?
There is some stuff which may be usful here - I don't have much bookmarked about travel vaccines. Hope you have a great holiday regardless!!!

This is a reply to # 62,212Undoubtably you should take the vaccines and medication. Yellow fever is not nice. Malaria meds may not be esp nice but Malaria is worse. Read up on Malaria, its no 1 world public health enemy.
