Cover the copper paddles with paper towels that have been soaked in salt water. Throw the paper towels away after the session is done.
Drink fresh pure water before, during, and after zapping.
About 20 minutes after the zapping session, replinish your intestinal bacteria. Kefir appears to be best. A smoothie or yogurt with 4 to 6 strains of bacteria is good.
