Perhaps it was not fully heated all the way through? A coffee pot warmer, candle warmer, ect, something with low heat but above 76 degrees with slowly melt the coconut oil. As it melts you can stir it so that that is still solid can melt. I keep mine on the top shelf of my double layered gas heater and it keeps it melted all winter long. Except when I turned it down to 60 one day when I left, I came back and you could see it start to form solid but it was not fully there yet. It was actually pretty neat looking. It did not all harden at once, likewise I've never had it all melt at once but took some time to melt evenly. It sounds like that may be the case? Hopefully that is it rather than they have adulterated it and added another oil in the cocconut oil as a carrier so it was cheaper for them. You might speak to the company and ask if you are unsure after slowly melting it. RBD generally has a yellow tint to it so that is not alarming in itself. Hope this is of some help, Caitlin Lorraine
