omega...I have read all your posts and also the ones from amberlynn and it seems to
me it would almost have to be your thyroid. I know you've been tested...but the
sad news is...regular doctors know very little about our thyroids. And doctors
and even dieticians and nutritionists know even less about diet and nutrition.
What a shame THAT is. On our local news...they have a dietician/nutritionist come
on almost every day and tell us this or that about nutrition...and many times, I
laugh just listening to her...because you can tell she was taught nutrition in a
'medical environment' where they just don't know their heads from a hole in the
ground about much.
It doesn't matter what your blood works says about your thyroid...it's what your
BODY says about your thyroid. Take your temperature...first thing in the morning...
and see if it is below normal. If it is...it's your thyroid. Even though all the
books say take it even before you get out of bed (you're supposed to shake down
the therometer and put it beside your bed the night before...and take your temp
before you even get out of bed the next morning)...but mine is so low...I can take
it any time of the day...and it is drastically low. But try that...you can try it
in the middle of the day, or just when you find this...but if it reads normal...try
it again first thing in the morning before you get out of bed and see what you find.
And even though you're on a great diet...you really could be getting too many calories. So check that out to be sure.
Have you heard about the "Fat Man Walking"? He started in California last April
to walk across America to lose weight. He really hasn't done well at all...and by
the pictures I've seen...I don't think he's lost much weight. He could have put
that time to much better use...and been with his family to boot. You can check him
out at
http://www.fatmanwalking.com He should be at least in Missouri by now...I'll have
to go check....but even with all that walking...he was NOT losing weight the last
time I checked.
Do you want to say what a typical day of eating is like for you? It's up to you...
I'd like to help if I can. kathryn
