We just have to do the best that we can with our animals. If you have to work and leave your pup alone, then that is what has to happen.
I would not crate him for that long of a time, especially not at ten months of age. However if you have already done this successfully then keep doing it. Just make sure to love him up a lot when you do get home.
Does he sleep in a crate at night?
Does he get some exercise each day ?
Will he walk on a leash ? If he will, take him for a walk on the weekends and also get some time in for your own self.
If you do not enjoy your self you could eventually start to resent your dog.
You may want to do some reading. A good place to start is at www.google.com. Do a search on dogs and tons of information will come up.
Of course, the best solution would be to take your dog to a sitter each day, where there are other dogs. I know this would be a hassle.
