Yes 77777,
I agree with you. I've been eating extremely healthy for almost three months now and am in the middle of a 60-day internal cleanse and have seen no significant improvement in my lips...though I think the low sugar/low carb diet has helped since yeast/fungus loves that. I agree w/ your comment: my condition started when I began excessively licking/chewing my lip. Something must've transferred into my lips and started this infection. Taking oral
Antibiotics made my condition worse so I don't think it's a bacterial infection. Even though lab results came back negative for bacterial/fungal infection, I'm really beginning to think it's definitely some sort of virus/yeast/fungal infection. Now I think the cure lies in a natural topical treatment along with a
healthy Diet (internal cleansing, PH balancing, ect). I'm doing good on the internal stuff (though I'm getting impatient and frustrated) and am trying various natural topical treatments. I've tried
Colloidal Silver , apple cider vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, and now virgin coconut oil, the latter seems to help the most. It exfoliates my lips and calms the flares. Now I'm about to order Dr.Schulze's "Jojoba+Tea Tree Oil" online...he uses it for eczema and dermatitis. This has been such a depressing and angering journey and I'm so glad to have support here b/c this is such a rare condition!
