I have found the most comfortable and effective way to zap is using foot pads. Simply take a piece of aluminum kitchen foil (heavy is best, or use double layers, or even sheet metal) about 12" x 4" for each foot. Clip one alligator clip on the end of each pad. Place a folded paper towel on each pad, pour a teaspoonful of warm water down the middle of each towel, and place one bare foot on each damp towel. Turn on the zapper, and enjoy!
I like this for four reasons:
-it leaves my hands free (great for the phone or at the computer!)
-it gives good contact pressure without effort
-it gives a large contact area to minimize any possibility of skin irritation.
-if you believe in foot reflexology, this could make your whole body happy from the "electronic reflexology" alone.
