I have had it for almost two years. 6 months of uncomfortable sex! The 2nd week from inserting IUD my husband was getting poked by the string and I had itching feeling inside, I must of been getting poked too. I went in, the doctor said that the man wouldn't be able to feel it. I told her he has red dots on his had from it that was proof! So I said just snip it shorter, will go from there. Phew sex was easier for my husband. But not for me...I was having adominal pain and after we were done with sex I felt nauses. I told my doctor of my problem she said it's just from after birthing she said give it sometime. I did. Time prolonged I forcely convinced myself that it's not the IUD. We could only do one sex position and deep penetration hurt! I had cramps and bloating. I felt I had labor pains. After past a year sex got back to normal. Then I started to be moody or just got depressed quickly. (I also mentioned this to my doctor and she said there is no hormones so it can't be it.) Then this month I've had the diarrhea for 2 1/2 weeks thinking there is a few people said it's a flu going around. The early signs was really bad cramps and I was blood spotting, bad cramps I was in bed the whole day then when I was able to walk I started having diarrhea. I called they said it's got nothing to do with the mirena. The cramps was from just me being sick. I made an apointment today and this morning I still had diarrhea. I got to the office doctor asked me why I am taking it out? Explain again. Doc said you can't blame the mirena. We talked that seemed like an argument for three mins she took it out I felt instant relieved besides the small cramp from the removal, not even an hour later lower adminal pain gone, mood of irritation Gone, diarrhea GONE! What I don't get is why my different doctors didn't find out more proof by doing test? Cause they seem to need proof. I sure didn't have these symptoms before IUD and why did it seem like they want me to keep it in? I know my doctor said everyone always post on the internet when there is a negative problem. What have delt with and read on different forums, reviews, ect...lots of nagatives for this birthcontrol Mirena.
