I thought of you last night as I was reading The Raw Food Detox Diet, by Natalia Rose:
"Throughout time humans have moved their bowels in a squatting position. With the advent of the modern-day toilet, we started sitting - and therefore shifting the position of our rectum during this key natural process. The sitting posture takes our rectum out of alignment, which results in less effective bowel movements. This in turn creates more waste matter build-up, impaction, constipation, and putrefaction in the intestines. All of this could be relieved in large part simply by putting your rectum back into proper alignment; prop your feet up between 6 to 18 inches off the floor. You don't need to buy anything special. Your bathroom waste basket (now that gives new meaning to the term) would probably work, as would a foot stool or filing box. Be creative. But just be sure to have something close at hand and use it every time you need to move your bowels." (Excerpt)
When I read your post about squatting, I thought it was hilarious. But - as usual - there is a method to your madness and I enjoy learning from you.
