My naturopath has laid out a 10 - 12 month plan on repairing my digestion. It consists of 8 steps. Most if not all the supplements are for practitioner dispensing only so you probably won't be able to buy them from your local supermarket or health food shop. I'm fortunate to live in Australia because there is an abundant variety of naturopaths. I've heard they are not so common overseas and I could not find one when I was living in Canada last year.. Anyways.

1st step is to decrease gut dysbiosis "weed". I'm using Artemesia complex from blackmores. It's got 7 ingredients; the main ones being Wormwood , Pau D'Arco, Goldthread and Andrographis. I take 3 tabs a day for 2 weeks with a prebiotic fibre Larix occidentalis. This feeds the 'good guys'. This is the step I'm currently on and my naturopath anticapated I would probably break out a little and get headaches. This inevitably came true; however, The 'oilyness' on my face has virtually gone and my pores haven't been so small since I can remember. A lot of the crap on my tongue from the candida has gone and my face is less flushed. Long ways to go yet though.

Next step is to heal gut dysbiosis "seed & feed". I'll be taking Orthoplex acidophilus fibre and Ultraflora restore or Probex.

Step 3 is detoxing the liver with Lipogen and Thermophase. When I get the supplements if someone wishes I can post the ingredients.

Step 4 is decreasing inflammation with magnesium, Inflavonoid Intensive Care and Cartin or collagenics (possibly).

Step 5 is to improve nutrient status. Being on the paleo diet it may not be necessary to do this but I will be taking CardioX (whatever the hell that is), Meta B complex, Fish Oils (which I take already) and zinc drink.

Step 6 is to support adrenals and thyroid. I'll be taking Thyaaren or some herbal formula with bacopa, withania, rehmannia and liquorice

Step 7 is managing stress and anxiety. Will be taking Cognitan, possibly prozetan, magnesium and the herbal formula as above.

Final step is maintaining nutrient status. Once again I may not need to because of paleo diet but I will be taking multivitamin, multi B complex, Fish oils and CardioX. The 2nd and last I will only need to take when I'm doing intense exercising.

I pretty much just copied that straigt off the plan sheet. This has been put together in referral to my diagnosis only and I do not recommend this to anyone without the supervision and expertise of a trained health practioner; however, sinceyou asked I feel obliged to answer. As I said above you probably won't be able to get these from a supermarket or what not and some of these products are australian so that makes it hard for you other guys overseas. My naturopath is confident and guarrantees me success and it seems to be working. As you can see from this post it dosen't explain how to treat Acne directly but this is for my leaky gut and candida which I believe is the cause for my acne. The plan is quite complicated as you can see so that is why I recommend you get someone else to work it all out for you to save you the stress and uncertainty i.e. a naturopath.

As far as Acne goes, I've NEVER had results like I had with horopito oil (and I've had Acne for - believe it or not - 40 years). Apparently I have a very bad case of candida and the horopito is very strong.
