You will be so much better as soon as you get it out. You will be amazed at how short a time it takes for you to feel better. I had horrible pain in my right hip. It kept me up nights for two years. I didn't know it was the Mirena. I hope your pain goes away quickly. Mine subsided within a couple of weeks. It was gone completely in a month. My Acne was BAD. It took about a month and half to completly settle down. I got my Mirena out in May and my skin looks great. I get the normal little pimple now. Not those horrible cysts. What was up with that. And I like myself again. The down side for me is the Mirena cause focal seizures in me so I am on seizure medication for seven more months. I have to be seizure free for a year. So I got to feel clear headed for a month and then started seizure meds that make you feel foggy. But the upside for you is you will feel sane again. It made me forgetful. Sorry to hear how you have suffered! This Mirena is not quite the miracle birth control the docs beefed it up to be. I hope you are able to get it removed soon. The hormone can do some weird things to our body. I also felt like I was going crazy. My head got all weird and foggy, I couldn't concentrate, and the memory loss was horrible. I had rages and had one so bad one night I drove around aimlessly for seven hours. The craziest part is I never had one issue like this before in my life. Let me tell you I would have been entitled to with my past. I had an ex-husband who beat me so bad I hid from him for three years after he fractured my face and gave me head contusions and almost strangled me to death. I have had moments in that relationship where he would beat me and five minutes later tell me it never happened. I lived through that with my sanity intact and recovered physically only to have this Mirena try to take all that away. So anyway, I got it removed and I am feeling great. I hope you do get it out soon. I have read other posts of women who have had weight gain, hair loss, and Acne problems. I have also read that after they got the Mirena taken out these issues got better. Did you see a specialist for the pain in the side? It is possible that is just another side effect from Mirena.
