Wow, I wish I would have read your post before. Part of what you said is true. The first paragraph is the most flawed. NONE of the "Gods" you mentioned were like Jesus. They may have done one thing Jesus did, but NONE of them did all the things Jesus did. And none of what they did can be verified. Jesus went beyond the total of what all your "Gods" did.

The fact that Jesus lived and did those things can be and was verified by atheists like you. Just like the Bible said would happen. Funny huh?

And you failed to address the most important fact of all because you can't prove it's not true. That there is a God. There is way more evidence that there is something beyond what Science knows, and when they educate themselves and face the facts, Science will be turned up side down, and the dogma in Science that is followed now will be looked at as a dark age in humanity. Just like when some of the founders of science (doctors) thought blood letting was the cure all.

By the way, God doesn't control any action in humans. It's called true freedom, unlike what science says is freedom. (For instance our deathcare, oops I mean healthcare system) If atheists had the ability to understand real truth they would be able to look past the false claims and dogma in science, and see the reality around them without relying on machines and formulas that constantly conterdict each other. And God doesn't live in the sky.

By the way, what's with that placebo effect anyway? Curing ourselves with only belief? How can science explain that? Fact is they can't. It's one of MANY mysteries that science can't explain even though they have some evidence pointing them to the truth, they refuse to follow it. Oh Well. I know a book that told about that 2,000 years ago. I don't need a machine to verify what my mind already knows. When will science or atheists understand such simple things, and not be afraid to follow the truth no matter where it leads? I know they love their comfortable jobs where you can be wrong as much as the weather man, but I hope some day some one with integrity will rise up out of some scientific field and say "Hey we've had it all wrong. This is what's really going on."
