Yes the monkeys are there… everywhere… with their chitter chattering… it is a deep seated habit of the mind… of constantly make its noise…

So try this…
Ever hear of gibberish meditation?
It is understood that if modern man tries to just sit and experience meditation… tries to sit silently and relax into himself, he will find it a very frustrating experience. This is because he will find that there will be so much chaos within himself that he will be unable to experience the real silence that is there beneath all of what has been repressed within…

The result will be tremendously frustrating for him… It may even frighten one to see that there is so much insanity that is within oneself, enough so that one may never attempt to try it again. Remaining in a kind of state of denial to the fact that such an ugly mess is really there... a part of who he is...

To help the modern man to get through this layer of insanity, gibberish meditation was devised… the meditation has two parts. A cathartic part and a meditation part. The first part, for 15 minutes, is to verbalize nonsensical, meaningless sounds. Moving the body, arms and hands, legs by making gestures will help one to go more deeper into this part of the meditation.

It will look like one has gone mad. One IS mad! ...Because we all live in an overly oppressive, overly moralistic society that will not allow us to express ourselves fully and naturally, so we unnaturally bury these unexpressed emotions and thoughts back inside of ourselves... these emotions, thoughts and feelings are all there... just below the surface... bubbling beneath the skin, so to speak, waiting to be expressed.

So what this catharsis does is to help move the insanity, that everyone is sitting on and carrying around with themselves, out to the periphery... and it is put out of the body-mind mechanism in this way…
If it is done with some intensity… with a totality… what is left behind is an empty space… a void. This leads to the meditation part.

So after 15 minutes of the cathartic part then sit silently for another 15 minutes… 15 minutes of just watching whatever is going on within yourself… the breathing, the heartbeat, the relaxation of the body… whatever sensations or sounds that arise… within and out of the body-mind. This second part is wu wei. Just sitting silently and watching.

Try this if you are so inclined… if you care to drop this idea that you are a victim... and take back your life...
Because nobody can help you... only you can help yourself out of your self-created problem...

This therapeutic method of meditation allows the monkey mind to do its thing… instead of trying to stop it. Trying to stop it is only giving it more energy...
Instead, let all the monkeys out of their cage… the cage of the mind... and then, what is left behind is a peaceful silence… an empty void... that gives a better chance for the flowering of meditation… If done with a totality, bliss… love... god will be allowed to fill that void. And for the first time one becomes really sane.
