Re: Why is the United States so Christian?

I don't know about the rest of the world, but I can tell you why I'm a Christian, it's because I believe that Jesus, the son of God made man came down to earth for all of us, not least myself and suffered for me and died an excruciatingly painful death on the cross for me. (And you too) He did it for all of us.

He opened the gates of heaven for us that had been closed due to Original Sin (Adam & Eve's) and those gates remain open for any that choose to follow Him in this world.

I also believe that there is a Satan, an Evil-One, I believe he has dominion over the earth. This is crucial in my belief of God, Satan is alive and well. Just look around you.

You can see the Evil-Ones activity anywhere, BUT, you can see God's love and beauty as well, not only in nature, but operating in my everyday life. His love for me is awesome, it is enduring and it is faithful, he'll never leave.

This is what I believe, this is what I've believed since the day I'd had enough lies and half/truths this world offers.Oh, and this is what I'll believe until the day I die:)

Do I suffer? Yes, do I question Yes, questioning is HEALTHY! Do I believe God guides me and has a purpose/reason for my life? YES. Am I optimistic that he will eventually triumph over Satan? You bet! I know He will:)

Thanks for the good post. Very thought provoking and a good reminder of why I believe what I believe. Keep asking those questions, you WILL get the answer:)
