There is no proof that increasing serotonin improves people's moods anyway.
The brain responds to the excess of serotonin by destroying serotonin receptors which is why people have to increase their dose of the drugs and why they feel so much worse after they stop taking the drugs than they felt before thet started taking them.Antidepressants also cause down regulation of dopamine.
