I have had Mirena Since July of last year and nothing but problems. I have been bleeding the majority of the time. They did an ultra sound and said that everything looks normal and want me to take estrogen pills. The whole reason I chose Mirena was to avoid taking pills. We decided that we need to go for the source of the problem and my husband got a vasectomy. I am now happy to say that I will be asking the doctor to remove Mirena so I can get my body back to normal. No birth control pills have worked for me. I always have issues. Then there are the people that have no issues. I feel that is all depends on the way you are. You can always get it removed.
