Been There, I think the perfect example of how Jesus approached people with His message is in the story of the Samaritan woman at the well.
He earned her trust by doing an act of kindness by approaching her as an equal which softened her heart to Him. (made her more receptive) He shared with her the need of something that was more valuable than earthly water. He redirected her focus from earthly things to eternal things.
If you read John 4, you will see that in the conversation Jesus does point out her sins to her but only after she was searching for answers from Him.
Here on the forums, we find we are addressing all sorts of people, (not just one woman) at all levels of receiving. Some are asking for more and others are not. We have to trust God to direct the Christian messages posted here to the persons intended.
