Thanks so much for this discussion! And thank you Moreless for your insights.

So if you can't grow your own fruits and vegs, you're left with trying to identify those top quality foods on the market. I'm going to a farmer's market Thursday and see what difference I can find in the produce sold there. I'm also looking into those refractometers on ebay.

Two questions: For those of you who can't grow your own, where have you consistently found the best produce? If you can't grow, and don't consistently find good produce, how many glasses of the alkalizing drink do you take to meet your daily needs?
