Oh my goodness this is so me! I would forget my head if it was not attached as well. I went in to have it removed today and they could not find the string. So I have to go have a D&C Histrocopy to see what happened to it and have it removed. Par for the corse that when I finally decide to go ahead and get in out they can't find it. I have had mine for just over 2 years as well. Horrible weight gain. Which my doctor tells me is not from the Mirena and not having a period.
