my mirena came out on its own, and i did not have a period when it did. my periods on mirena were like yours was a few weeks ago. light, didnt even need a pad, 10-12 days. i also had not long finished a period when mine came out either. did you know that progesterone is made by your body when you get pregnant? why would anyone want to take more progesterone when that is what is in mirena? you need progesterone to support a healthy pregnancy, why would anyone put a hormone that you need for a baby in a birth control? i didnt even think about this when i got my mirena. i wouldnt use any more progesterone. even now, i refuse to use any hormonal birth control. as soon as you quit bleeding, you need your dr to check you and make sure the mirena did not do any damage to any of your organs. i have been having ovarian pain every day for the past 15 months due to my mirena iud moving. i know this is what caused it, even though i cant get a dr to say so. i am now going to have to get a hysterectomy bc there seems to be no other option to stop the pain. i hope nothing like this happens to you. i woudlnt take the progesterone, and i would make sure i was checked. i wish you the best.
