Re: Stomach HCL

I think a good stomach is very importantly needed. Bile itself is basic. Pancreatic juice is also basic. But good stomach produce strong acid, pH 2-3. When the food reaches end of your small intestine, the pH of digested food should be still slight acidic, around pH 5.0. This is when good bacteria can ferment your food. If you lack good stomach acid, your food will still end up basic even there is bile present and bile itself is basic. YOur whole GI track is somewhat signaled by the pH. IF you have strong spleen/stomach, everything else will take care of itself, and I am pretty sure of it.

If you have weak spleen/stomach, no matter how many Liver Flushes you do, it will not only get you nowhere but also make the symptoms worse. Just imagine that you have weak stomach and still you need to drink that much oil in your stomach. IT will jsut burden the whole GI more. Most of the cases, it is not because you have so many many stones in your liver, it is because your stomach is weak and then the liver will also suffer.

In Tradtional Chinese Medicine concepts, you should pretty much take very very good care of your stomach. Don't do anything that will harm your stomach. Stress is a BAD BAD for spleen/stomach.
