Re: Lets be doctors for once! War-against-BO|BB

My son’s weight, there were short periods of time while My son was a baby and a child that he would get a little bit chubby, but not too much, right before he would grow a big stretch, and then he would be skinny again.  According to his pediatrician, based on his height and all their measurements, he was supposed to grow to be 6 foot tall like his father.  From puberty until the age of 14, he did some body building and his muscles were well formed, he had a six pack, but he never did it to be very big and muscular, just enough to make himself look good.
When his odor began, at the end of a one-year treatment of Acutane for severe acne vulgaris, he stopped growing at 5’7”, and stopped working out, an maintained a weight of 139 to 140lbs with all the other symptoms I mentioned above.  In the fall of 2007, ye began taking some activated charcoal and chlorophyllin , but not at any significant dose and without intestinal cleansing.  He began doing the low choline diet, but he was doing it incorrectly. His odor was less severe, but definitely not gone, and his weight and body appearance was the same.
It was around late December 2007, that I found the website, http://rarediseases.info.nih.gov/GARD/QnA.aspx?PageID=4&CaseID=20839&..., and he began the treatment plan as directed, except for the antibiotic and the lactulose.  Instead, he used Castor oil, rubbing it in his lower abdomen at night to go to the bathroom the next day.  It worked tremendously by his body odor diminishing slowly but surely, but he still had significant bad breath.
Intestinal dysbiosis, lactulose and neomycin:  Then we began to analyze what he was doing compared to what NIH rare diseases notes as the tmau protocol.  The only difference is that he hadn’t done the neomycin one time treatment and the lactulose.  He went to his primary care physician and got a prescriiption.  This is what really began to remove the BO completely, slowly but surely.  The last to go is his halitosis.  Now he weights 150 – 152lbs, and that’s significantly holding back voluntarily on his eating for the 1st time in his life to stop the weight gain of about 12 pounds in 6 months.  If he doesn’t watch his diet and start working out, he will become overweight for the first time in his life.  He started working out this week at LA Fitness gym with his friends, and is as motivated, if not more than when he was in high school.

1st he began treating his altered bacteria in his gut with

Lactulose, 2tbsp once, which caused diarrhea and cleansed his intestines thoroughly.  He noticed a significant decrease in his odor with this.

A 7 day course of neomycin 500mg tabs every 8 hours for 8 days, to modulate or reduce the activity of gut microflora, thus suppressing the production of trimethylamine (TMA) and prescribed by his Internal Medicine doctor.

Replace of the gut micro ecology system with probiotics, also called the “friendly bacteria”, (L. acidophilus, and L. rhamnosus, B. lactis, Steptococcus thermophilus, and/or L. Bulgaricus) after cleaning out gut (recommended by The Trimethylaminuria Foundation in N.Y., based on other professional sources), and after completed antibiotic treatment.

Vitamin B2 (riboflavin):  30-40 mg, three to five times a day with food to enhance FM03  function
He tried to cleans his intestines from toxins with, Activated charcoal: 700 mg twice daily for 10 days.
Then he created his own ‘Long-term treatment for extreme odor on a trial and error (see http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?).
