Re: Brands of coconut oil

I think there are quite a few good choices.
The most important factor for me is that for
eating internally it be Organic Extra Virgin
coconut oil, unrefined. I have used Garden
of Life and Spectrum as well as the Tropical
Traditions coconut products. You might get
small amounts of different kinds and find
which one you prefer. For cooking and frying
eggs and such I use Tropical Traditions
which is expeller pressed but not certified
although they claim it is grown organic. I
like it because it does not have the coconut
flavor like the Extra Virgin. I pay attention
to price so when you can find a deal if it
is organic extra virgin, I would encourage
you to add it to your collection and taste
test the different ones. I did find in my
own experience that the Spectrum's shelf
life was not as long as I thought it should
be but still I did not waste it and used it
for massaging some oregano oil mixed with it
on my dog for a skin condition. I will use
lesser forms of the oil for my legs and hair
but for eating and putting on veggies and
in baked goods, I like the higher quality.

best wishes,
Zoe
