The Value of Water

The Value of Water

Water is important to our overall health!.

Since our bodies are 60% to 70% water, it’s considered by many to be life’s most essential nutrient. In fact, an individual can last quite a while without food, but only on week without water.

Soft drinks won’t do it. Fruit juices won’t do it. Even milk won’t do it. In fact nothing hydrates your body like water and hydration is one of the keys to good health and fitness.

The world-renowed May Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota suggest dividing your weigh in half and using this number as the ounces of water you should consume daily.

FACTS ON WATER:
· your entire body needs water to work well. Water helps
you digest food and then turn that food into energy.
· Water regulates your body temperature
· It keeps your mouth moistened
· Maintains muscle tone
· Water carries nutrients and oxygen to every cell in the
body
· It protects and cushions vital organs and joints
· The average person consumes only 50% of recommended
amounts of water daily.
· Caffeinated and carbonated and alcoholic beverages
actually remove water from the body. The net result is
that most people are probably only getting about a third
of the valuable hydration benefits the need.
· Water plays a significant part in weight loss
· Water has no calories, acts as an appetite suppressant and
helps the body metabolize stored fat.
· Drinking enough water helps alleviate fluid retention,
relieves constipation and flush impurities from the body.
· You can dehydrate in cold weather. Perspiration in cold
weather dehydrates your body, as does the simple act of
breathing (every breath contains evaporated water). So
even if you don’t feel as thirsty as you are in warmer
weather, keep drinking water to stay properly hydrated.
· During a 60 minute workout you can sweat out more than a
quart of water. Dehydration happens fast.
· 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated.
· It is probable that similar percentages apply to 90% of
the world population
· In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that
it is often mistaken for hunger.
· Even mild dehydration will slow down body metabolism as
much as 3%.
· One glass of water shut down midnight hunger pangs for
almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of
Washington study.
· Lack of water is the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.
· Research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could
significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of
suffers.
· A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term
memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing
on the computer screen or on a printed page.
· Consuming an abundance of water can reduce the risk or
prevent kidney stone formation.
· Studies show that drinking 5 glasses of water daily
decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can
slash the risk of Breast Cancer by 79%, and one is 50%
less likely to develop bladder cancer.
· Water is the substance of life.
· It is difficult for the body to get water from any other
source than water itself.
· Water plays a vital role in nearly every bodily function
· Water is essential for proper digestion, nutrient
absorption and chemical reactions.
· Water is essential for proper circulation in the body and
flexibility of the blood vessels.
· Water helps remove toxins (acidic waste) from the body, in
particular from the digestive tract.
· Consistent failure to drink enough water can lead to
Chronic Cellular Dehydration.
· Dehydration can occur at any time of the year.
· The body’s water content is approximately 45 liters. Our
daily consumption of water is approx. 2.4 liters.
· Blood plasma (main body component) is approx. 92% water.
· The human foetus (our growing physical vehicle) is approx.
90% water.
· The blood (life fluid and nutrient conveyor) can be up to
90% water.
· The human brain cells (intellect, creativity, behaviour)
are approx. 85% water.
· The kidneys (fluid processors and purifiers) are approx.
82% water.
· The muscles (prime movers of the body) have an average of
75% water.
· The body (our abode on earth) is approx. 71% water.
· The liver (metabolism and detoxifying) is approx. 69%
water.
· The bones (structural support system) are approx. 22%
water.
· The body’s cells and fluids (basis for growth and
development) are MAINLY WATER.
· Water keeps headaches at bay
· Water reduces infections
· Water gives you better skin
· Water keeps up your concentration
· Water banishes bags. Sunken eyes and under eye circles are
signs that you need water.
· Water stops cramps.
· Water reduces cystitis
· Water keeps bowel healthy
· Water prevents retention
· Water keeps your breath sweet.

We tend to forget that central heating takes its toll and we lose more water than we realize. It’s tempting to have tea and coffee but they’re diuretic so we end up getting rid of water instead of topping up.

General rule: You should drink half your body weight in ounces of water every day to provide your body with its MINIMUM water replacement requirements as long as you are reasonably fit. Otherwise start by sipping the water and gradually build up.

The Nobel Prize Recipients have clearly shown us and well documented the results that it is just not water that is the essential element for longevity and good health BUT alkalized enriched mineral water. So if we get the water pH needed and all studies show the VALUE and NEED for water daily, we have a good foundation for nurturing healthy cells and creating a body environment that will have the ability to correct and heal itself.

IT IS VITAL TO HAVE HEALTHY ‘LIVING WATER’ TO SUSTAIN US, AS OUR BODIES CONSIST OF OVER 70%WATER. WATER IS MORE THAN JUST THE CHEMICAL SYMBOL FOR H2O.

“IT IS THE KEY TO LIFE”
