Unfortunately, there's a lot of people out there that don't see it. "Food riots in Africa? Who cares? I can still buy my Big Mac and fries for cheap."
I do sense more people are paying attention. Companies that sell emergency supplies are busier than ever. But for most people it's business-as-usual. At Costco we had a big cart loaded up while everyone else just had a few things for the week. That won't do it.
Those that do see it but think we have a ways to go, I urge you to not procrastinate. Now is the time to Git 'R done. Don't wait. We picked up some more supplies yesterday and will order more this week. Interestingly, we had a 12 hour power outage a few days ago and it helped us assess our preparedness and identify some missing things we needed. I hope everyone who reads your forum does whatever they can to get ready. Don't panic, just take care of business (don't run, but walk fast).
