Re: I am Pregnant with Mirena in place..

I wanted to talk to you and see if this was the same thing im going through. I gave birth on Aug 3 2007. I got my Mirena put it in Oct 7. Just recently a few months ago I was getting this pinching feeling down there, if i walked moved sat a certain way. I went in and my doctor just cut the string. He told me if this happened again he'd have to take it out because the string was too short. Now, today a few months later I go in for a follow up and the doctor says he cant find the string, never mind the actually Mirena. Hes having me go for a ultrasound to see where the mirena is, and if its still in place..... Im so scared that this IUD didnt work, its not in place and I may be pregnant. First, I wanted to ask you. when you went in for your appointment, did they do a pregnany test. they did for me and it came back negative. so i was wondering, because you had said you were getting it removed and didnt think you were pregnant and then your 8 weeks. second, I was wondering what they did when they found out that it was lodged. as my doctor thinks it is. PLEASE write back as soon as possible. Thanks!
