Maybe if you explain to you family that you are trying to lose weight, they won't bring that kind of food around? Do you live alone? When I do my fasts I make sure there is NO food at all in the house and this is easier done when you live alone. That way when temptation comes, the food isn't easily accessible. It's not easy at first but you really need to take it just one day at a time. It also helped me to fill up on water. When you get that full feeling from drinking water, you're less likely to go for food. Sometimes I'd leave the house and go for a walk when a craving hit. Getting fresh air and exercise always helped and the cravings would usually pass in 10 minutes or so. It really is mind over matter. Not easy - but so worth it!
