Re: Dying Dying

I had a serious back injury in 2002. With the help of an excellent chiropractor and a lot of advice and assistance from Curezone I recovered about 90%. I walked with a limp when I got tired and there was frequent pain, but I was walking and able to work. The jolt from the deer incident caused some more injury that did not manifest for a few months. I have a damaged sciatic nerve and other nerve damage too. Traditional doctors offered little hope, but lots of drugs and steroids so I could live with the problem. After watching a young co-worker with degenerative disk disease go through withdrawal from pain medicine addiction I decided against narcotic pain relief, although I occasionally use OTC medication when things get really bad. My chiropractor told me as long as I feel pain that means the nerves are not dead, but have a pretty good chance of regenerating. With the pain I feel, those nerves are most definately alive and kicking. Right now I am trying to focus on overall health so hopefully my body can heal itself. Not long after the accident I experimented with a protocol that caused massive inflammation, that was when I stopped walking completely and depend on a wheelchair. So for now its trying to get healthy and do what I can to keep up the circulation and muscle tone in my legs. By the way, I am pretty good at predicting local weather, my aching limbs say its going to be raining in Arkansas before long.
