Protein, good fat and low-carb is a healthy Diet for many people...and not just a weight-reducing diet. Some people require more carbs than others...you may be a Carb-type metabolic type. BUT...when candida and parasites are present eating more carbs is a problem because it feeds them and they multiply. If you had candida and parasites while eating this diet, but didn't address them...the problems you were having were probably from the critters and not from the diet. Unfortunately, if you want to successfully address candida you have to cut out sugars.
As long as you eat enough food while on this diet, you won't starve. I know one of your previous posts mentioned a very low daily caloric intake...THAT may be what put your body in starvation mode! But you can take in plenty of calories and stick to the diet. Until you've addressed the candida and parasites it's really hard to know how your body will deal with any type of diet.
