Eating garlic regularly (daily - in raw form)helps our body to produce enzymes to combat the "garlic odour" that emanates through our skin and other channels of garlic body odour. It's when we don't eat garlic regularly, our bodies don't have enough of these enzymes and we end up "smelly". It takes time for our bodies to reach an equilibrium. I don't know the time frame but I suspect that it would depend on the person, how much, etc.
