(basically says that in a hypothyroid person with Iodine deficiency and selenium difficiency, taking selenium only will make the hypothyroid worse).
If all goes well, I will be able to lower or get off the thyroid meds. The trick, though, is that most docs will only prescribe them based on labs. I just wanted an idea of whether/how much the Iodine would affect the standard labs. I had a heck of a time even finding a doctor that would prescribe Armour. This doctor is open to alternative ideas. He's just old and not very studied in them--I guess not interested enough to take the time to learn something new. We'll see how much the Iodine freaks him out, lol.
At this point, I guess I'm not sure how I will know to adjust my thryoid meds. If you are aware of any resources to point me to, that would be much appreciated!
