The way a fast is broken must be done very carefully. A 8 day fast should take 4 days to break. The generally accepted rule is to take 1/2 the days of a fast to break it. A 10 day fast takes 5 days to break properly.
Watery raw fruit and vegtables are usual. Melon or cucumber is good. Take all day using just one or two fruits or vegetables. Broths are good. Some people like vegetable soup next... Difficult to digest meats, beans, fatty foods are last. There are books that explain this...
I advise that one research everything before doing it. Not doing a cleanse properly can be worse than not doing it at all.
