Re: Still a virgin, never had a boyfriend

YOU SAID:
"This is not because no man fancies me; I've had several ask me if I wanted to be their girl. It's just, either they were not my type or they went too fast, asking me after a week, (which pretty much makes me run away immediately.) I'm the kind of person who thinks: "I've only known you for a week, how can you that possibly be a good basis for a relationship?"

I agree with the other posters. You're doing better than fine - you're doing great! As long as you don't let your head and peer pressure convince you otherwise. As you continue in your 20's, you'll see a ton people either running from commitment or clinging to it. I quoted this part of your post because women (and some men) cling to relationships so they can be with SOMEONE and that's whey some men seem to run for the hills if you like them. It is as if it must be all or nothing, fling or long term relationship. So many people have trouble being alone. This is WHY they often get together so fast.

If you have the strength to not succumb to peer pressure, then when someone comes by who you do feel that connenction with, you will be in a position to say yes to the right relationship; you won't be tied down in a dumb relationship.

I speak from experience. You will see a lot of silly and dumb stuff in the attempts of those around you to play the love game. I wouldn't worry about it. Being sensible will save you SO MUCH GRIEF!!!!!

And by the way, my personal guide to getting the one special relationship you want (since you're one of the few people who don't need to be with Mr. Right Now) is to 1.date and 2.work on becoming the kind of person who is worthy and desireable by the kind of person you want to be with.

You can always practice your relationship skills on other relationships in your life. When you and your mate are both ready, you will meet. No worries there. :-) Good luck!
