and another thing

I think you have a serious phobia.

Think about it- the only guys you ever really liked were "safe" in that they were in relationships or weren't that into you. That's a subconscious tendency.

Why did people in high school treat you that way?
That seems to have had some detrimental effects on your confidence. In fact, caused you to get "too skinny" and people who are dieting in a healthy way do not get "too skinny"

As far as being a klutz in won't matter because you'll be ready to be with that person in an intimate way and there's really no klutzy-ness in intimacy. You're not trying to impress anyone, you're sharing you body, mind, and soul with that person. Sure, your friends weren't doing that at 16 but that's them.
Would you rather have spent your first time as a cheesy teenager having sex just to feel accepted by someone who was only going to finish in 2 seconds without making you feel very good, or would you rather spend it with someone you really care about who will do anythign it takes to make sure you have the experience of a lifetime and gives you affection a little piece of themselves with it?

Most people take a while to fall in love, they just don't realize it. My current boyfriend told me he loved me after knowing me only a few weeks but I have a feeling he didn't actually realize what love was until about a year ago and we've been together for 3.5 years.
