Square foot garden

Hi Moreless and others, hope you are well.

I haven't posted in a long time, however I read every post everyday and am still loving it and trying to learn all the time.

I am going to start a sq.ft. garden this weekend,I have 4 boxes made and my soil ingredients.

I plan no making @ 32 cubic ft. of soil as follows:
1/3 peat moss
1/3 medium grade vermiculite
1/3 compost

I am planning on placing the boxes in full sun?
I live in So. Calif. where it gets faily warm, is full sun ok?

Should I add anything else to the soil like kelp, bsm etc ?

My boxes are 2x6 , meaning the beds are 5.5 in. deep, and there is no mention of mulching with this method.

Moreless I would really appreciate any advice or insight you could give me in starting a sq. ft. vegetable garden.

Thanks for everything you do, you are doing a great job, keep it up.

Thanks
aak
