I've tried looking off the net in antique medical books and periodicals. The docs wrote up case studies differently in the 1800s then then docs do now. They are lengthy discussions and theories. Iodine treating the lungs is an interesting one, pleurisy, TB, etc.
Sometimes they had to dope the patient a little because Iodine was so powerful, the patient would cough the cooties up too violently. I love reading the case studies.
