Brain fog would definitely be my biggest complaint. I can't think straight for the life of me. It's like my mind is totally slowed and dulled yet I have racing thoughts.
I thought it was the adrenals, heavy metals, parasites or something of that nature. If it is the Thyroid what course of action would you recommend, especially someone with Adrenal dysfunction? If I go see the Thyroid ND in town I know they are going to put me on Armour meds or something like that.
Thyroid dysfunction has a number of causes so it is hard to say what your hypothyroidism is from. Being that you have adrenal issues, which can adversely affect the adrenals I would start from here. Ashwagandha and nettle leaf will support both the adrenals and the thyroid. If you can find the powders this is the best. I recommend mixing the herbs in a ratio of 2 parts of ashwagandha to one ounce of nettle leaf. Recommended dose is 1/2 teaspoon 3 times daily at least 20 minutes before meals. If you get capsules the dose would be 2 ashwagandha capsules and one nettle leaf capsule three times a day. An iodine source would also be a good idea. The highest herbal source is black walnut hull. Recommended dose is 1 capsule 3 times daily before meals.
